Olatunji Ayofe has been appointed secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, and Chief Dare Adeleke as chairman.
In a statement issued on Friday, PDP National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba said that the party’s operations in Ekiti State will be supervised by a committee consisting of 20 members, which will serve for a maximum of 90 days, or three months, or until a new Executive Committee is chosen.
The statement said as follows: “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee (NWC) hereby approves the composition of the Ekiti State Caretaker Committee to manage the affairs of the Ekiti State Chapter as stipulated in Section 21(2) (a-b) of our Party’s Constitution, for a period not exceeding 90 days (three months), or until a new Executive Committee is elected, following the expiration of the State Executive Committee’s tenure in Ekiti State.”
Honorable Ayodele Joshua, Agbetuyi Sunday Joshua, Honorable Olonila Ojo Benjamin, Mojisola Omotosho, Honorable Ojo Ayeni, Rt. Hon. Abeni Olayinka, Honorable Ademola Alade, Honorable Afolayan Akutupu, Honorable Bobby Jeje, Rt. Hon. Sina Animashaun, Honorable Araromi Akindele Samuel, Honorable Festus Idowu Akinbode, Honorable Ade Fajana, Barr. Ayo Oguntuase, Honorable Olanipekun Boboye, Honorable Adebayo Jackson, and Honorable Ojo Fasasi are among the members of the Ekiti State Caretaker Committee.
Asabo Ayodeji Victor has also been named the administrative secretary of the committee.
The NWC charges all leaders, important stakeholders, and committed party members in Ekiti State to stay united and cooperate for the party’s advancement, the statement said.
