The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been rescheduled for tomorrow.
The meeting was originally planned for today but was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. The NEC meeting is expected to address key issues and decisions within the party.
Bala Mohammed, the head of the party’s Governors’ Forum, said in a statement that the decision was made at an expanded meeting on Tuesday night.
Members of the National Working Committee (NWC), National Assembly Caucus, Forum of previous Governors, and Board of Trustees (BoT) also attended the meeting.
The conference has been postponed until November 8, 2024, according to Bala.
“The delay is to ensure that the party enters the upcoming Ondo gubernatorial elections on November 16, 2024, with the unity and strength demanded to unseat the floundering All Progressive Congress, APC government in the state,” the statement reads.
Bala emphasized the importance of presenting a united front in order to secure victory in the upcoming elections. The decision to postpone the conference reflects the party’s commitment to strategic planning and coordination.
