The spokesman for the Zamfara Governor, Sulaiman Bala Idris, has alleged that the police hierarchy has mobilized mobile police to intimidate voters in the scheduled re-run election for five polling units in Kaura.
Sulaiman told Channels TV in an interview on Wednesday that the police authorities is mobilizing mobile police officers from Kaduna, Katsina, Sokoto, and Gombe for a re-run election in just five polling units.
He wondered why the same police cannot mobilize similar security strength to secure the people of Zamfara from the insecurity they are facing.
However, he expressed optimism that the PDP would win the re-run election scheduled for Thursday, the 21st of August, 2025.
