The President of the Republic of Niger Muhammad Bazuom has conferred an award of honor to Zamfara state Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle.
Governor Bello Matawalle was conferred with an award of honor in recognition of his sterling efforts toward bringing an end to the scourge of armed banditry in Nigeria.
He was also honored in recognition of his extended contribution to the soldiers from the Republic of Niger in their effort to end banditry in the two countries.
He was also commended for taking the giant step of making sure that the soldiers from Niger Republic who were redeployed from the Nigeria-Niger borders in 2018 were deployed back to support the fight against the armed banditry.
A powerful delegation from the state government had since joined the Governor to celebrate with him for the recognition accorded to him by the Republic of Niger.
Other personalities that attended the award ceremony include Jigawa state Governor Abubakar Badaru, the Kebbi State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Bagudu, Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote and the Chairman of BUA, Alhaji Abdussamd Rabiu, who were honoured on their various contributions to the Country.
