An APC Chieftain in Zamfara Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa has informed hundreds of Zamfara APC supporters in Kaduna that President Muhammad Buhari appealed to former Governor Yari to attend the grand reception of Governor Bello Matawalle to APC.
Marafa who insisted that, Yari left Kaduna full of tears explained that Yari had never wanted to go to Zamfara for the scheduled event but because of the appeal by the President which was conveyed through Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasir Elrufai he was left with no option than to proceed with the other Governors for the event.
He added that, after the Tuesday reception, the Governors would mediate between the APC leadership in the state and the Governor who has come newly in to party so that the terms and conditions guiding the marriage can be clearly spelled out.
He insisted that, any of the party that goes against the terms of the agreement reached would be fought to the latter.
He assured the teeming APC supporters that, Yari and other APC stakeholders would continue to do everything possible to defend the integrity of the party members in Zamfara and also fight anyone who stands to destroy the gold effort of the members of the party.
He used the opportunity to ask for the APC supporters to be sympathetic with the former Governor Abdulazeez Yari considering what he has undergone in his personal effort to defend and promote the APC in Zamfara State.
