The Zamfara APC faction led by Sen. Kabiru Garba Marafa has held it’s parallel state congress in Tsafe local government on Saturday.
Alh Surajo Maikatako was elected as the Chairman through a consensus process, which was affirmed by all the delegates.
All other elective positions were equally returned unopposed with the same process of affirmation by delegates.
In a vote of thanks, the new Chairman assured the party supporters of his commitment in working with other political actors to electing Sen. Marafa as the Governor in the forthcoming 2023 gubernatorial election.
He expressed concern with volume of armed thugs deployed in most part of Gusau just to threatened supporters of Marafa noting that such threat could not scare Marafa supporters from pursuing their political movement of electing Marafa as Zamfara Governor in 2023.
“They have threatened to kill Maikatako severally but one thing they have failed to realized is that even if they killed Maikatako, there are hundreds of other commanders who are ready to carry on with the political struggle which is championed by Surajo Maikatako”.
He accused the present government of breaking law and order and using force to suppress the oppositions.
