The former Senator who represented Zamfara Central from 2011 to 2019, Sen. Kabiru Garba Marafa, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Sarkin Katsina, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello, who passed away on Friday.
The former senator was accompanied by hundreds of his political supporters as he made his way to the palace of the Gusau Emirate Council, the venue for the condolences.
Senator Marafa, who is also a member of the Royal Family of the late Sambo Dan Ashafa, the founder of Gusau city, described the passing of the late Sarkin Katsina Ibrahim Bello as a great loss to the people of the emirate and Zamfara as a whole.
Sen. Marafa also described the deceased as an accommodating leader who was well-versed in both Western and Islamic education.
He added that the late emir excelled in ruling the people with decorum and the fear of Allah, always ensuring that justice prevailed.
According to the Director General of Social Media for the senator, Mal Mansur Haroon, Marafa prayed for God Almighty to grant the deceased the highest place in Jannatul Firdausi.
