Former Governor of Zamfara state Sen. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has mocked those celebrating his (56) birthday anniversary as people championing an act of madness.
Former Commissioner for Information during his tenure, Ibrahim Muhammad Dan Madamin Birnin Magaji alongside other political allies presented the 56 years birthday gift to the Senator in his Talatar Mafara residence.
The portrait presented to him carries the inscription of “Alhamdulillah the architect of modern Zamfara is 56 years old” an inscription that shows a sign of congratulations on the return of his birthday day anniversary.
Brinin Magaji while presenting the birthday gift said the committee on Publicity under his leadership had identified some key projects that were executed by Sen. Yari during his tenure as Governor to demonstrate the fact that he is genuinely the architect of modern Zamfara state.
But in reaction to the event, Yari stood his ground by insisting that it was an act of madness for someone to congratulate him at 56 even when he knew he has bidden farewell to this world.
“I insist that it was an act of madness for someone to congratulate me at this stage when I knew last year I was (55) years old, this year I have moved to (56) and I knew I was bidden farewell to this world.
But he thanked the organizers for identifying with him
