The minister of Aviation Hadi sirika has led the federal government delegation to visit Zamfara State government and offered their commiseration to the people of Zamfara State over the unfortunate abduction of 317 students of Government Girls Secondary School Jangebe.
Amongst the delegation was the Ministers of Police Affairs Maigari Dingyadi, that of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Sadiya Umar Faruq and her counterpart from Women Affairs Madam Pauline Talen.
Hadi Sirika who delivered an address at the State government Gusau said, they were in Zamfara on behalf of the President and federal government to commiserate with the people of the state over the unfortunate incident.
He said the federal government is deeply torched with the sad news and of the abduction of the school girls and it is doing everything possible to collaborate with the state government in making sure that, the girls are returned safely.
He said the federal government has assured Nigerians that, the Jangebe school abduction is going to be the last episode where students would be abducted by bandits in any part of Nigeria noting that, federal government would take decisive measures in ensuring that kidnapping of students have not occurred again.
He also said the federal government is going to continue working with the state and support its initiative aimed at making its citizenry secured.
In his response, Governor Bello Matawalle commended the effort of the federal government for initiating the visit and assured the President of his readiness to partnering critical stakeholders in ensuring that relative security has been restored.
He appealed to the federal government to always ensure synergy amongst its security outfits while fighting the bandits
