Some PDP leaders from Gummi and Bukkuyum local government area of Zamfara state had formally defected to the ruling All Progressive Congress APC on Tuesday.
They were formally received at the state government House Gusau by Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle in company of his Deputy Sen. Hassan Nasiha and host of other politicians.
Those that defected include Public Relation Officers, Youth leaders and Organizing Secretaries from the two local government areas.
Special Adviser to Zamfara Governor on Chieftaincy Affairs Yusuf Zugu led the decampees to meeting with the Governor.
Yusuf Zugu said their defection is directly connected with the personal love the people of Gummi and Bukkuyum have for Governor Bello Matawalle for long.
He thanked the Governor for according strong attention to the people of Gummi and Bukkuyum all the time.
While thanking them for the defection, the Governor assured them of level playing ground within the APC.
