Multiple reports state that Kylian Mbappe has informed Paris Saint-Germain that he will leave when his contract expires at the end of the 2023–2024 season.
Mbappe has been allowed to begin pre-contract negotiations with other teams since January 1. His current deal with PSG ends in the summer.
The parties are still debating whether Mbappe will go for a fee or forgo his own earnings in order to safeguard PSG’s finances, since the conditions of his departure are not yet set in stone.
After a deal is completed, PSG and Mbappe are anticipated to make an announcement in the upcoming months.
The 25-year-old’s signing with Real Madrid has received a lot of attention.
Mbappe will reportedly have to accept a pay decrease in order to join the Spanish squad, though.
For Mbappe, PSG accepted a record-breaking £259 million offer from Al Hilal last summer and allowed the player to communicate with the Saudi team.
When representatives from the club visited Paris, Mbappe reportedly declined the chance to talk about moving to the club. After that, a contract dispute prevented him from working out with PSG’s starting lineup. But in August of last year, after “positive and constructive talks,” the World Cup winner was reintegrated.
