A former governor of Zamfara State and Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial district Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has cautioned Zamfara state Governor Dauda Lawal to stop trading blame games and making of unguarded utterances against his predecessor Bello Matawalle now Minister of State Defense.
According to the statement by the DG media to Senator Abdulaziz Yari Almansoor Gusau, Yari said, the Governor should instead do his best to tackle insecurity bedeviling the state.
Yari according to Almansoor stated that Governors of Zamfara who ruled the state before him have done their best in tackling the security challenges facing the state.
Yari, was the first governor of the state to face an insurmountable challenge of insecurity but noted that he tried his best to do what he can do ensuring that the insecurity in Zamfara has ended
The statement added that, Matawalle has done his best in tackling the insecurity challenges plaguing the state, including facilitating for reconciliation with some bandit leaders.
Almansoor further said, Governor Dauda should have taken similar path of dealing with the bandits instead of resorting to trading blame games which he said was unnecessary.
He advised the Governor to call for a stakeholders meeting and seek advice and support from stakeholders to deal with the problems facing the state.
Yari said the minister of state for defense Bello Matawalle had since his appointment as the minister, been trying his best in the area of his schedule of responsibility and should be considered a true representative of the state in the Federal scheme.
He cautioned Zamfara Political class to come together in building the state rather than engaging in rampant political bickering that will draw the state backwards.
