Supporters of former Zamfara house of reps Kabiru Hahaha Classique had contributed money and purchased a nomination form for him to contest for the post of council Chairman for Talatar Mafara local government.
One of his political allies, Aliyu Muazu who spoke exclusively to this medium on Sunday said they collectively came together to raise money and picked the nomination form for him.
“He swore to God almighty that he will not contest the local government poll, but we believed his decision was against the wishes of his supporters so we have to rescind and went ahead to pick the form for him”.
Muazu also insisted that because majority of people of Talatar Mafara stood behind Classique it would be wrong for him to refuse to contest for whatever reason.
“Five of them are contesting, and we are ready to test the popularity of our candidate because we knew fully he can win the election”.
“We are ready for the primaries, and we are not scared of the other candidates that picked their nomination forms.
The Governor’s Special Adviser on Political Matters, Yahaya Abubakar Yari alongside three others also picked his nomination form to contest the post of council chairman for Talatar Mafara.
It could be recalled, Kabiru has become prominent on the social media recently where he demonstrated his readiness for face-off with the Governor of Zamfara Dauda Lawal over what he termed as injustice done against his supporters.
