It is with a deep sense of sorrow and sadness that we mourn the death of the Emir of Gusau, the late Alhaji Ibrahim Bello, who passed away at a private hospital in Abuja on Friday.
His funeral was conducted amidst hundreds of sympathizers at the Gusau Central Jumuat prayer ground and was attended by dignitaries, including the state Governor, Dauda Lawal.
The monarch had been ill for some time, according to reports, and was referred to a private clinic in Abuja for advanced medical attention.
The demise of the emir is truly a great loss not only to his immediate royal family but also to the people of Zamfara and Nigeria as a whole.
The late emir lived a life of fulfillment as a teacher, nurse, public servant, and traditional royal father.
His track record as Emir, since succeeding his predecessor, the late Kabir Danbaba of blessed memory, was one of high fulfillment as he ruled his people with decorum and a strong sense of responsibility.
His subjects attested to these assertions through a series of tributes and messages of condolence all over social media. We at Thunder Blowers will miss his wisdom and words of perfection whenever he spoke about issues of public concern.
We pray for God Almighty to grant him Jannatul Firdausi, protect his family, and shower them with natural blessings as they continue to live without him.
