President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria following a two-week working holiday in Paris, France, and the United Kingdom.

Around 7:20 p.m. on Saturday, President Tinubu arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

He was received by top government officials and well-wishers, with many expressing their delight at his safe return. President Tinubu is expected to resume his official duties immediately after a brief rest to continue leading the nation. Senior administration officials greeted him.

Recall that on Wednesday, October 2, the President left Abuja on his yearly leave of absence, which included a two-week working vacation.

As part of his annual leave, President Bola Tinubu will leave Abuja today, October 2, for a two-week holiday in the United Kingdom, according to a statement from Special Advisor to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

“He will use the two weeks as a getaway to think back on the economic reforms implemented by his administration, as well as a working vacation.

The statement stated, “He will return to the country after the leave expires.”

Additionally, according to Ibrahim Kabir Masari, President Tinubu’s Senior Special Assistant on Political and Other Matters, on October 11, the President departed the United Kingdom for Paris, France, for a significant engagement. 

A number of people greeted the President upon his arrival: Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State; Femi Gbajabiamila, the chief of staff to the president; Wale Edun, the minister of finance; Abubakar Bagudu, the minister of budget and economic planning; Nuhu Ribadu, the national security adviser; and Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
