Sokoto State government has joined its counterparts from Zamfara and Sokoto to declare that it will not enter into reconciliation with the armed bandits.
This declaration was made by the Sokoto state Chairman of the Security Committee, Dr. Yushau Mohd Kebbe in an interview.
He noted that the position of the state government of Sokoto of not reconciling with the bandits is non-reconcilable one.
He added that 1,500 members of community protection guards are to be recruited starting from 16 local governments that are worst hits by the menace of armed banditry.
“If we give you a nomination form your father, the district head and Divisional Police Officer have to endorse the form for you to ensure that people of questionable characters are engaged in the exercise”.
