The command was greatly concerned by the senseless death of Liman, who was the DPO in charge of Wasagu Division in Kebbi State till his death, according to a statement sent to reporters on Thursday by ASP Yazid Abubakar, the command’s spokesperson.

According to Abubakar, military soldiers associated with Operation Dadarin Daji stopped the deceased police officer at the Danmarke area in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara while he was traveling to Birnin Kebbi in Kebbi State to attend a conference.

Abubakar went on to say that even though the officer identified himself as a police officer, he was immediately killed by the military guys.

He insisted that Liman was instantly killed when Hassan, the military personnel’s commander, shot him in the head in a startling act of brutality.

As a result, Abubakar pleaded on the appropriate authorities to take prompt action, look into the events that led to the police officer’s death, and make sure that those accountable were held accountable.

This horrible crime’s conditions are disturbing and intolerable.

Despite presenting himself as a police officer, SP Liman was stopped by military soldiers while traveling to Birnin Kebbi to attend a monthly conference.

SP Liman was instantly killed as Hassan leveled his revolver at him and fired a single, devastating blow to his skull. We urge a comprehensive inquiry into the events leading up to this tragedy and strongly condemn this unwarranted attack.

The military’s activities are blatantly against both the interagency cooperation principles and the rules of engagement. In order to address this heinous occurrence and make sure that those involved are held accountable, we implore the appropriate authorities to act immediately.

In order to preserve peace and security, the military and police must cooperate rather than participate in violent altercations that erode public confidence. We offer our sincere condolences to SP Halliru Liman’s family and coworkers, promising to do everything within our ability to see that justice is done. It is crucial for the military and police to work together in a harmonious manner to prevent further tragedies. Collaboration and communication between these two entities are essential for maintaining public trust and safety.
