Chairman of Zamfara State House of Assembly Committee on Education Comr. Yusuf Alhassan Kanoma has denied the press statement issued by house spoke person Mustapha Jafaru Kaura where he said that members of the state house of assembly have declared “a vote of no confidence on National Security Adviser Rtd. Gen. Babagana Monguno.
Kanoma who made the denial when he featured on Thunder Blowers TV show “Tiryan Tiryan” said he doubts if the house spokesperson can provide evidence where such a declaration was made.
He said truly there was a deliberation over the resolution of National Council on Security on the floor of the state house of assembly on Wednesday, but there was no where such statement on “vote of no confidence was mentioned”.
Kanoma accused the federal government of taking unilateral decision on Zamfara because it was a PDP control state noting that, there were cases of school abduction at Borno, Yobe, Katsina and Niger, but because they are all APC control states such extreme decision of “No-Fly Zone” and “enforcement of ban on mining activities” were never taken by the council.
He said Governor Bello Matawalle has done well in trying to secure Zamfara state taking in to account that he inherited the problem and that since security operatives have failed in securing the state the Governor has no option than to continue with the peace deal.
