Senator representing Zamfara West, Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar Yari has set up an evaluation committee to assess the number of victims of wind disaster that befalls the people of Talatar Mafara local government.
The committee is chaired by Malam Hamza Abubakar Mafara alongside other prominent personalities.
Other members of the committee include all those who participated in the distribution of grains to the people of Talatar Mafara local government alongside representatives of district heads of Kayaye, Galadima and Talatar Mafara.
Addressing journalists, the Chairman said the committee had since started going around the local government to take statistics of the victims of the disaster.
He said the committee was given two days within which to conduct an evaluation and submit a report to the Senator for possi ke action.
It could be recalled that on Wednesday, 29th day of May 2024 a heavy windstorm has destroyed several houses and rendered hundreds of residents homeless in Talata Mafara and its neighboring villages.
