Some political loyalists of Senator Kabiru Marafa had cleared the air, that contrary to insinuations made by Zamfara APC under Tukur Umar Danfulani, Senator Kabiru Marafa was begged by former Governor Yari and his co-political allies to contest for Senator in 2011 , knowing fully that only Marafa’s popularity can unseat a serving Governor.
The Chairman and Secretary of the Senator. Marafa Consultative Forum Com. Bashir Mafara and Dr. Mannir Bature Chafe , in a statement on Thursday insisted that Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa had never been a toothless bulldog as alleged by the state party Chairman.
They noted that Senator Marafa is a man who commands relevance nationwide and , as such , does not require any propaganda as his track record speaks louder for him.
They recall that , contrary to the insinuation by the state APC Chairman that Sen. Marafa was humiliated by his constituents in 2019, Sen. Marafa instead picked a governorship form and fought Yari gallantly until the court transferred power to Matawalle in 2019.
The group also claimed that the insinuation that Sen. Marafa did not deserve to be the Presidential Coordinator for Tinubu in 2023 was false as he successfully delivered Tinubu , while Matawalle as Coordinator for the North West only delivered Tinubu in (2) out of the (7) states.
The group also challenges the State APC Chairman to produce the results of his ward and local government during the 2023 Governorship election to buttress his popularity.
The duo also insisted that their principal Sen. Marafa remains politically relevant in the politics of Zamfara and the nation at large.
