The senator Kabiru Garba Marafa faction of the APC has accused the state APC Chairman Tukur Danfulani of selling Zamfara APC to Sen. Abdulaziz Yari and Minister Bello Matawalle.
Chairman of the group Alh Surajo Danfulani Maikatako who stated this while reacting to the recent interview made by Tukur Danfulani where he accused Marafa of antiparty stated that Tukur Danfulani sold the party to these two personalities because they are the one that are given him money all the time.
“We expect that APC under Tukur Danfulani to unite the members of the party review the activities of those that cheated the party in 2023 election set up committee to recommend appropriate sanction against them and plan to confront the 2027 election but instead of doing these he is making further moves to destroy the party.
He added that Zamfara APC is on the trial simply because its leadership under Tukur Danfulani has never been great.
He reminded Turkur Danfulani that APC Zamfara was built based on the contribution of various stakeholders including Sen. Yarima, Mahmuda Shinkafi, Abdulaziz Yari, Bello Matawalle, Sen. Marafa, Aminu Jaji, Mal. Wakkala and many others noting that the contribution of these personalities in building Zamfara APC can never be ignored.
But he said because of the myopic thinking of Zamfara APC leaders led by Tukur Danfulani they refused to recognize these stakeholders simply because it was only Yari and Matawalle that used to give them money all the time.
He insisted that Marafa faction constitute significant part of the APC movement and that nobody can cage them elsewhere and deny them their right as members of the party because someone is their using the party to be earning money.
He described as unpatriotic describing the political group of Sen. Marafa an insignificant faction noting that it was the effort of this same insignificant faction that influence the coming of Matawalle into the APC which equally resulted to the appointment of Tukur Umar Danfulani as the APC Chairman for Zamfara.
He advised Tukur Umar Danfulani to resign his position in the interest of saving the party from the unnecessary crisis.
“When we were busy forming the APC where were you? So it will be laughable for you to come and be making careless statements that it was Yari and Matawalle that are recognized as leaders and others who have done their best for the party are not leaders in your thinking”.
“Tukur Danfulani is supposed to lock himself inside a room and be remorseful that his leadership of the APC has taken the party and it’s supporters to the present sorry stage”.
