The Zamfara state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has flagged off its campaign for the Bakura State Constituency Bye election scheduled for 31st October amidst cheers by hundreds of party supporters.
Speaking at the campaign rally held in Bakura, APC State Chairman, Alhaji Lawal M. Liman urged APC supporters to continue to be law abiding and avoid anything that will lead to breakdown of law and order before, during and after the election.
“We are calling on you to come out enmass and vote for the APC on October 31st 2020 to confirm that APC is the party of the people of Zamfara state,” he said.
He also commended the party supporters for their unflinching support at all time and tasked them to remain focus despite all odds.
The APC Chairman also described the party’s candidate, Alhaji Bello Dankande Gamji as grassroot politician who will be a good representative of Bakura local government constituency in the state assembly.
Liman said people of Bakura local government area can attest to the sterling qualities of Dankande Gamji because of his enviable records when he served as the chairman of the council on many occasions and also when he was a state commissioner during the previous administration.
“Dankande Gamji is a man of honour who enjoys the support of you people because he has served you in different capacities and performed marvellously well, therefore go out enmass to vote for him on 31st October 2020” Gabdo declared.
In his remarks, the candidate Alh Bello Dankande Gamji thanked the party’s leadership for supporting his candidature and promised to continue to work for the development of Bakura local government area and the state in general.
“APC is a party for the people and I will hold firm the principle of the party to bring about sustainable development in the state,” he assures.
Thousands of APC members and supporters across the state trooped to Bakura town headquarters of Bakura local government area to witness the grand commencement of the party’s electioneering campaign for the October 31st bye election.
