The official collation of the results for the Kaura Namoda South bye-election for the State House of Assembly has commenced.
The state constituency has a total of six political wards, and so far, results from three wards have been officially collated by the INEC officials in the presence of party agents and security agencies.
As of press time, the results from three wards, namely Banga, Sakajiki, and Kagara, have been officially collated.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) scored a total of 1,021 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored a total of 359 votes.
In Banga ward, the APC scored a total of 1,163 votes, while the PDP scored a total of 1,466 votes.
In Kagara ward, the APC scored a total of 783 votes, while the PDP scored a total of 682 votes.
The results from the remaining three wards are awaited to complete the collation, after which INEC will announce the winner.
