Members of Zamfara State Forum of Commissioners have handed over an award of honor to the Governor of Zamfara State Bello Muhammad Matawalle on Saturday.
The decision according to the Chairman of the Forum who doubled as the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Nura Ibrahim Zarumi is part of thanks given for the traditional title of Shatiman Daular Usmaniya recently conferred on the Governor by the Sultan of Sokoto Muhd Sa’ad Abubakar 111.
They handed over a white decorated royal horse and copies of the holy Quran.
Governor Bello Matawalle while thanking the commissioners’ forum for the gesture said, he refused to make a heavy ceremony for the title conferred on him in order to avoid extravagant spending of public funds.
