The Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Zamfara state, Yusuf Idris Gusau, has declared that soon some serving commissioners and state assembly lawmakers would join the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara state.
Mr. Idris, who spoke during the official ceremony for the reception of Mr. Muhammad Lawal, the defeated PDP candidate that participated in the just concluded Kaura Namoda bye-election, insisted that numerous executives of the PDP in Zamfara would also join the opposition APC.
He stated that the ruling APC is a party that has high regard for women, young and religious leaders, noting that the defection of Mr. Lawal is an indicator that the APC is growing stronger.
He assured the defecting politician that the APC as a party would continue to recognize him and his structure and also ensure that he is included in all the activities of the party in the state.
He thanked the members of the Yazeed Danfulani project for the proactive position they have taken in ensuring continued mobilization for the party.
