Zamfara State Police Commissioner Ibrahim Balarebe Maikaba has decorated 390 police officers who were promoted to their next rank.
Two among the 390 officers were the Chief Superintendents of Police, CSP Sani Kabiru and CSP Usman M. Nassarawa, who was elevated to the prestigious rank of Assistant Commissioners of Police.
The decoration ceremony took place at the State Police Headquarters, Anguwar Gwaza, Gusau.
Thirty officers, including Sani Muhammad, Bashir Idris, Maisoba Rabiu, and Musa Bulus, were promoted from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP II).
According to the release by the Police Spokesperson in Zamfara, DSP Yazeed Abubakar, a total of 242 Sergeants were promoted to the rank of Police Inspectors.
In addition, DSP Yazeed stated that a total of 116 police corporals were promoted to the rank of Sergeant, among them Aminu Smabo, Faisal Bala, and Abubakar Aminu.
The Police Commissioner congratulated the newly promoted officers and urged them to justify their promotion through unwavering dedication, professionalism, and a renewed commitment to delivering quality policing services to the people of Zamfara State and Nigeria by extension.
Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, ACP Usman M. Nassarawa expressed profound gratitude to the Inspector General of Police and the Police Service Commission for entrusting them with higher responsibilities.
He pledged that the newly promoted officers would continue to uphold the core values of integrity, commitment, professionalism, and community trust in their service to the nation.
