At the extraordinary state executive council meeting held on Tuesday members have approved the construction of Ultra -modern Central Motor Park as part of the ongoing Urban renewal projects of the Dauda Lawal administration.
According to the statement by the spokesperson for the governor, Sulaiman Bala Idris, the council also deliberated on other vital issues beneficial to Zamfara State.
According to him, the council approved the award of the contract for the construction of the Ultra-modern Central Motor Park to Fieldmark Construction Ltd, amounting to N4,854,135,954.53.
According to Idris, the construction of the new motor park is a crucial component of the state’s Urban Renewal Program and will significantly enhance the state’s transport infrastructure and service delivery.
The project is to be jointly funded by the Ministry for Local Government and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Tourism, while the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure will supervise the execution of the project.
He stated that price bills of quantity has already been submitted to the state Bureau for Public Procurement and certificate of “No-objection” has already been issued in respect of the proposed project.
The proposed project has an office facility for the officials of the union, provision of fire service station, provision of commercial guest lodge, emergency clinic, police division, car wash facility, mechanic village as well as a befitting where house facility
