Governor Bello Matawalle has pledged that his administration would begin the construction of 3,500 housing units to state civil servants as part of his administration’s effort to providing affordable houses to civil servants.

The Governor made the pledge at an event to commemorate 2021 workers day in Gusau on Saturday.

Matawalle said, “my administration has also secured a Federal Government housing scheme known as Family Homes, in which a total of 3,500 one, two, and three-bedroom housing units will be built across the 14 Local Government Areas and distributed to workers on loan”.

He added that, “the project will be carried out by local contractors, with the State Government acting as a loan guarantor”.
