Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle has flagged off the reconstruction of access roads within Gusau Central Market as part of the effort of his administration in reviving the economic status of the Gusau council area and its environs.
Flagging off the road project, State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Tourism Sufiyanu Bashir Yuguda who stood in for Governor Bello Matawalle said, the idea of reviving Gusau Central market is concieved by the passion the administration of Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle has for improving business activities in the state.
He noted that his ministry is making concerted effort to initiating more business ideas that will help in reviving the ailing economy of the state and improve job creation for the teeming unemployed youths in the state.
He noted that the current administration has concluded arrangement to provide soft loan and other interventions aimed at empowering business enterpreneurs to enhance their business and commercial activities.
He called on those operating at the outskirt of the Gusau Central Market to reunite with their colleagues that are based within the market with a view to occupying empty shops that are spreaded all over the market noting that apart from the access road his ministry is making effort to give the market a new look.
The Flagg off ceremony was attended by the Emirs of Gusau Ibrahim Bello, his counterpart from Maru Emirate as well as Senator representing Zamfara Central, Senator Hassa Muhammad Nasiha.
