A Zamfara State lawmaker, fromTalatar Mafara Shamsu Hassan Basko, has distributed a total of N10M as a business grant to some members of his constituency.
According to the lawmaker, the gesture is intended to help empower the vibrant youth in his area to continue excelling in their chosen business careers.
He stated that he decided to select 14 active youths who are already engaged in business but require additional support to excel.
“The greatest support you can give to today’s youth is to provide them with a grant and teach them a specific business idea that can sustain them,” he said.
Among the 14 selected beneficiaries, some received N1M, while others received N500,000.
He said that this gesture would be sustained periodically and urged those who benefited to utilize the grant effectively.
He also encouraged those who did not benefit from this time to be patient, as he plans to distribute more in the future.
