Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara has been urged to watch over the alleged murder case of Magaji Lawali which is being prosecuted by the office of the Attorney General.
Late Magaji Lawal was allegedly killed by a retired Colonel. Rabiu Lawal Yandoto the pioneer State Commandant of Zamfara Community Protection Guards (CPG) in 2024.
According to a letter by the family of deceased, the accused one Col. Rabiu Yandoto who was investigated by the police, had some prima facie evidence against him, but his case was tactically abandoned by the office of the Attorney General.
Col. Rabiu Yandoto was allegedly released on bail due to poor prosecution of his case, noting that the accused was investigated by the Zamfara police command since August 2024.
The family of the late politician, in their letter appealed to Governor Dauda Lawal to Wed. into the matter and ensure that justice is done.
We are calling on the Governor to use his good office to ensure justice is served. We have been patient for too long, and it’s time for the law to take its course.”
