Zamfara State Police Commissioner Mr Abutu Yaro said, the command has arrested one Abubakar Muhammad of Falaila area in GRA Gusau for alleged possession of large quantity of dry leave suspected to be Indian hemp and other hard drugs.
The Police Commissioner who stated this during a press conference in Gusau on Friday said the suspect was arrested by the operatives of Operation Puff Adder attached to Tudun Wada Division who acted diligently after receiving credible information about the activities of the suspect.
Mr. Abutu Yaro further said, during the interrogation the suspect had confessed to have engaged himself in the buying and selling of the dry leaves and other hard drugs.
The CP said, interrogation would continue and as soon as findings were made the suspect would be charged and prosecuted in court.
