The Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Command CP Abutu Yaro received his first dose of the Jab Astrazeneca accine at the state police headquarters Gusau on Tuesday.
He was administered the injection by the Police medical team in collaboration with the medical staff from the ministry of health,
In a statement by the state police command public relations officer SP Shehu Shehu Muhammad said other senior officers vaccinated along with the Commissioner of Police include, DC Operations DCP Elkana Ayuba, DC CID DCP Chollom Gyan, AC Operations ACP Bello H. Wudil and other senior officers.
In a remark, CP Abutu Yaro urged officers and men of the command to accept the vaccine as medical professionals have already explained that it doesn’t have any negative effect on human lives.
He further said that the vaccination will guard against the deadly disease of Covid-19 Pandemic.
He reaffirmed the total support and cooperation of his command aimed at ensuring the success of the exercise.
He said that, area commanders and divisional police officers have been directed to give maximum support to the medical teams deployed to their respective areas.
