Fifty women each from the six local government areas that constituted the Zamfara West Senatorial district benefited from a cash grant of (N20,000) each from the Senator representing the Zone Lawal Hassan Anka.
At an event to mark the distribution of the cash grant at Talatar Mafara (300) women benefited from the intervention.
The intervention is a joint effort between the Senator and National Directorate of Employment (NDE) and the objective was to ensure that women have been supported to enhance their small businesses and enterprises.
This recent intervention is in addition to the initial grant he has disbursed to (300) beneficiaries in each local government under his constituency, comprising (50) women from each local government cluster.
The distribution exercise which took place on Sunday at Talatar Mafara was supervised by the former Commissioner for Information Sulaiman Tunau Anka, the campaign DG of the Senator Hon. Murtala Ishaka Jangebe and Zamfara State Coordinator of NDE
