A higher Shariah Court sitting in Tsafe has on Tuesday perfected a divorce between one Alh. Musa Tsafe with his granddaughter Hajiya Wasila Isah.
Zamfara state Hisbah Commission sometimes dragged the couple to the court after it was discovered that, the marriage was instituted illegally.
Before the marriage was separated, the couple had eight children.
Ruling on the matter, Justice Bashir Mahe said after hearing both parties the court has come to the conclusion that, the wedding has contradicted the teaching of Islam.
The judge said the wedding has contravened the provision of verse (73) of a Quranic chapter (Suratul Nisa’i) and also page (79) of an Islamic book titled ” Ashalul Madariki” and (77) of another Islamic book Ihkamil Ihkami.
The learned judge ordered that the parties have the right to appeal the judgement.
