
Speaker of Zamfara State House of Assembly Nasiru Muazu Magarya has assured members of the Nigerian Labour Congress that the 6th assembly under his headship would continue to be labour friendly and work toward institutionalizing labour laws in the interest of the state civil servants.
He made the pronouncement when he received members of the union who were on a nationwide protest over removal of the minimum wage from the exclusive legislative list
Represented by his deputy Musa Bawa Tsafe Magarya salute the courage of the members of the Nigeria Labour Congress for standing their ground to fight for their right.
He assured the members of the NLC that the state house of assembly would do everything possible to ensure that the rights of the members of the union are protected.
Earlier in his address, the State Chairman of the NLC Zamfara Sani Haliru Magajin Rafin Kurya said they were at the State House of Assembly to hand over their letter of protest against what they termed as anti-citizen’s act
In a statement by Mustapha Jafaru Kaura the Spokes Person of the house said while commending the leadership of the house for the warmed reception he reminded them that people voted for them in order to better their living condition and therefore urged them to intervene.
