The Zamfara State Committee on the Verification of Recovered Rustled Animals has intensified it’s outreach to those that losses their livestock to animal rustlers along Dansadau axis of the state.
The committee led by its Chairman Dr. Aliyu Sani Jangebe has arrived at army base in Wanke where it interacted with those whose cattle and other livestock were rustled.
Before the release of any livestock recovered by the army every person whose animal was rustled is expected to come along with an attestation letter from his District Head confirming that his animals are rustled and the letter need to clearly stated his names and addresses.
Alao, before these rustled animals are released owners were asked to state dates which their animals were rustled, their quantity, location where they where stoled, after which every person dentifies if his rustle livestock are among those recovered.
Thunder Blowers also gathered that, after all processes and confirmations are concluded, the livestock owner is expected to be snapped alongside his identified animals before they are released to him.
As at Friday 10th of July 2020, a total of 131 cattle, 80 bulls of sheep were handed over to the owners by the committee
