Zamfara 2027: Go with anointed This week’s article was inspired by two issues. The first one is to sustain the ongoing debate that was sparked by an online Newspaper (Thunderblowers) on the right person to rule Zamfara State in 2027. Secondly, there was a well written letter by a citizen of the state expressing his gratitude to Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu, Zannan Bungudu on the good work he has been doing that endeared him in to the heart and minds of most people of the state.Of course, the dust raised by that publication is yet to settle and may not settle any time soon as the author of that publication titled “Zannan Bungudu will constitute a political threat to Minister Bello Matawalle” hit the nail on it’s head, as he touched on the very sensitive issue disturbing almost all the citizens of the state as it bothers on leadership, which is the major problem bedeviling the state and the nation in general.Zannah Political Network (Zapnet) was among the first organisations to write a rejoinder. In our response titled “Zamfara 2027: Our Perception” the State Coordinator Alhaji Mannir Ibrahim and the State Secretary General Engr. Buhari Ibrahim stated their position, insisting that the current Member representing Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency in Zamfara State, Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu is the best person for the job of the highest office in the state come 2027 in-sha-Allah.Early this week, I was attracted by a letter written by one Abdulhakim Halliru, a concern citizen of the state. In the letter, Halliru was saying “Your dedication to the principal of justice, equity and progress is truly commendable. You have become a beacon of hope and role model to many including myself and your contribution will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.Each and every paragraph of the letter was a chapter eloquently written to describe the good work Zannah is doing, in which he emphasized by advocating a higher responsibility for this quintessential public figure, a leader by example and a powerhouse of humanitarian compassion, unequalled philanthropist and engine room for generosity and kindness.Also last week, another person named Najeebullah was seen posting pictures all over the social media platforms with his sick father at the hospital in Kano, that they were there because they were sponsored by Zannah to embark on that medical trip. He was quite happy, full of gratitude to the man in question.There was a report I read about an elderly woman of about 90 years, named Hauwa’u, from Makera village in Mafara Local Government, who was said to be suffering from deafness but was given a hearing aid and now she can hear very well courtesy of Zannah.Alhaji Sulaiman Usman Zumunchi, a former Special Adviser in the state and close political associates of Zannah, gave an insight on how Zannah has been supporting the families of former leaders in the state since the return of democracy in 1999. The project is still ongoing irrespective of political differences.In another narrative, the Department of Vectinary Medicine, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria requested a Bus for transportation of the staff and students of the entire faculty through their former student who happened to be a close associate of Zannah by name Dr. Abdurrazak Shinkafi, within a short time frame the bus was provided by this indefatigable fellow.It is not a coincidence, when few weeks ago, the Sokoto Network Centre for the Nigeria Television Authority, NTA in a flamboyantly organised Dinner &Award Night, selected Zannah as the best and hardworking legislature in the entire northern Nigeria. The ceremony was few weeks followed by Zannah’s coronation as CHIEF MEYEGUN OF IKARE-AKOKUN in Ondo State, Southwestern Nigeria. My humble office of Program/Publicity has since nominated this man to a reputable organisation in the United Kingdom for recognition and award for common good to the society. They are currently conducting their background checks and verification after which they will contact us for the date of the ceremony in London.Dr. Zannah is so concerned about insecurity in the state that he on many occasions appeared in person to present financial and emotional support to victims. His goodwill and charisma has earned him enormous love and respect from the people.”Looking at the above summations, one cannot help imagining the kind of impact and psychological penetration this man has in the hearts of people of Zamfara State. His name is being sung by many while his kindness is eulogized beyond the state, which is making him increasingly popular and acceptable among his rivals, as he has since overtaken them in all aspects.Finally, there is need for all and sundry to heed to this clarion call from all visible and invisible sources, take a look at the handwriting on the wall and mary it with future development/security of the state, listen attentively to the words of wisdom and act responsibly like a Shepard, join forces with majority calling for Zannah to join the race to fully kickstart the journey for the government house in 2027. Already, the wind of change is blowing and the train is about to leave the station. Zannah is the masse’s project and there is a saying that, the voice of the masse’s is the voice of God.
