Governor Dauda Lawal has instructed contractors handling projects at the State University Talatar Mafara to mobilize back to site and complete their respective projects.
The Governor who spoke during a speech at the 3rd and 4th combined convocation ceremony of the Federal University Gusau insisted that his administration has budgeted huge money for the transformation of the tertiary institutions in the state.
According to the Governor’s Spokes man Suleiman Bala Idris Governor Dauda Lawal noted that soonest the permanent site of the University will be functional.
He added that for the first time the state university Talatar Mafara will undergo accreditation of all its courses by the National University Commission NUC.
He noted further that when he took over the mantle of leadership as the Governor he met a backlog of payments for WAEC and NECO that were not settled by his predecessors nothing that he has to enter into an arrangement for them to release the result of Zamfara indigenes nothing that payment of the backlog has since started by his administration.
