
Zamfara State Government has directed that all boarding schools earlier closed by the state government should be reopened with immediate effect.
In a statement by the State Commissioner for Education Alh Aliyu Tukur ES said the affected boarding should reopen as day schools to serve students within their immediate environment.
The statement further said, all students from the closed boarding schools should report to the nearest day school in their community to continue with their studies
The Commissioner further said the system should be boy to boys and girl to girls school system.
He further said all the affected students should maintain their former school uniforms.
The Commissioner also warned that, no Principal should collect new registration or charge any levy from the students.
He further said a new admission register should be open separately to accommodate the transfer students in their appropriate classes and warned that their records should be compiled.
