Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board has organized an excursion visit to Ahmadu Bello University Zaria Agric school aimed at widening the potential opportunities of the agric sector to Zamfara pupil
Director of Primary Education of the board Alh. Garba Abdullahi led the team and expressed hope that the visit will provide on the spot opportunities for the pupils to tap from the potentials of agriculture in building their future carrier.
In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the board Ibrahim Musa Maizare said, important places visited include Institute for Agricultural Research, National Agricultural and Extension Research Center, Liaison Services and Animal Production Research Institute.
The Director of Primary Education specifically explained that, the objective of the programme which was introduced by the federal government through the Universal Basic Education Commission is aimed at reintroducing agric science in the basic schools system.
Those who were picked for the excursion exercise included, Alh Abdullahi Nakwada, Nura Musa Anka Agric Desk Officer ZSUBEB, some selected head teachers as well as agric teachers from some selected schools.
