The Inspector General of police has approved the demobilization of Inspector Umar Adamu formally with Zamfara police command from being an operative of the police Counterterrorism.
This is contained in a letter of demobilization with reference number CH:5660/WEL/FHQ/ABJ/VOL.79/43 dated 19th July 2023 and signed by DCP. Hamman Joda Barka copy made available to this medium.
The letter stated that Inspector Umar Adamu has been demobilized along with eight other police officers to different commands and formations in the country.
Until his demobilization, Inspector Umar Adamu had been a subject of controversy from among politicians in Zamfara as he was finger pointed in several actions allegedly influenced by some political class which many believed resulted in an abuse of his profession as a police officer.
According to the letter, Umar is to proceed to Cross River State as his new place of posting.
The letter also instructed the affected officer and his colleagues to proceed accordingly.
