2021 BUDGET: GOV. BELLO MATAWALLE SPENT (N1.8B) FOR STAND ALONE SOLAR STREETLIGHTS WITHIN GUSAU CITY

Governor Bello Matawalle has declared that his administration has expended the sum of (N1.8B) for the change of stand alone streetlights from diesel to solar operating system in Gusau the capital city of Zamfara as part of the capital expenditures made in the 2021 budget.

The Governor stated this in his budget speech during the presentation of 2022 appropriation bill before the members of the state house of assembly on Tuesday.

He said part of the expenditures made in the year 2021 is procurement of (14) units of Toyota Land Cruiser Jeep at an amount not specified for Grand Khadi and judges of the High Courts.

He also said, his administration has procured a total of (200) units of Hyundai vehicles for judges also at a cost not specified.

The Governor also said, his administration has expended the sum of (N170,233,350.00) for procurement of equipment for state FM radio.

He also said his government has spent a total of (N957,131,641.00) for the construction of studios for the state television stations and AM radio

He also said he has provided equipment and basic facilities for the Zamfara printing company and for the headquarters of the state ministry for information at the cost of (N253,852,650.00)
