Despite economic crises and security challenges facing Zamfara state, Governor Bello Matawalle said he has done his best to implement developmental projects that have direct bearing to the lives of the people of the state.
He said some were executed directly by his administration, while others were executed with the local governments and other donor intervention agencies.
Governor Bello Matawalle who stated this during the presentation of the 2022 Zamfara appropriation bill before the state house of assembly on Tuesday noted that his administration has expended the sum of (N2,133,712,122.85) for the reconstruction of two liaison offices in Kaduna and Abuja.
He also said his government has expended another some of (N1,025,430,162.05) for the construction of the new Presidential lodge.
The Governor further said, his government has completed the reconstruction of (12) township roads within Gusau alone while (8) others are at the verge of completion.
He also said, the reconstruction of Deputy Governor’s office complex is also ongoing at the cost of ((N184,826,850.40)
He further said the construction of the Cargo Airport is also ongoing, and it would cost the state (N11.5B).
