Former Governor of Zamfara State Abdulazeez Yari Abubakar has declared that himself and the serving Governor Matawalle will join hand to meet all the needed stakeholders including the President with a view to bringing an end to the lingering security crises rocking the state.
Yari who stated this while addressing party stakeholders in Zamfara explained that, one of the reasons why he accepted the reconciliation offer was to come together and join hand with the Governor to be able to bring an end to the insecurity affecting the state.
“We all knew our position before now, some people who were here with us last year are no more here and few months now we will be going into the election proper and for me, I can’t afford to drag my supporters into another wave of political crises again”.
According to Yari since before and after Sallah celebration, consultations had been on with critical stakeholders in Abuja and considering the caliber of people that pleaded with me to unite forces with the Governor in APC to solidify the party structure in Zamfara Yari said he cannot look at their faces and tell them no.
He assured his supporters that with the intense prayers conducted during Ramadan God almighty has chosen the best option and political sense of direction for himself and his supporters which came through the spirit of reconciliation.
On what he has been doing to the people of Zamfara through regular support, Yari said “the reconciliation will not affect his passion of assisting people, noting that if he has not increased the seasonal intervention he will surely not perform below the expectations.
He urged them to go back home and appeal to those who felt aggrieved with the decision to take hard and join hand together with the government to move the state forward.
