Residents of Dayau, Madira, Anguwar Sarkin Musulmi and Gidan Sambo community in Kaura Namoda local government area of Zamfara state took to the street to protest what they termed as high level of Insecurity enforced on them by some suspected bandits operating in the area.
A source very conversant with the development told this medium that the residents of these communities were today forced out of their homes by the armed bandits a circumstance that pushed them to fled to the palace of the Emir of Kaura Namoda Sanusi Muhammad Asha.
While at the palace, the source said an attempt was made by the leadership of these communities to have a discussion with the Emir to brief him of the development before some angry people among them took to the street in demonstration of their anger.
“They crashed many bill-boards, attempted to set the PDP Secretariat ablaze and also intended to move to the local government council Secretariat for alleged destruction of government properties before they are confronted by the security agencies”
The source informed this medium that, it took the intervention of the armed security agencies who confronted the protestors before the situation is brought under control.
It was also alleged that, the protestors blocked some entry roads leading to Kaura Namoda and sets some tires ablaze.

A source confided on this medium that Dan-Sade has been terrorizing people of Kaura Namoda and it’s strategic villages, abducting innocent ones and enforcing levies on them running onto millions of naira.
Chairman of Kaura Namoda local government council Munnir Muazu Haidara who spoke to this medium confirmed the development but lamented that the people who ordinarily came to lodge their grievances should have not resorted to protest leading to some violent crashes.
He expressed sadness with the steps taken by the people in the name of protest, noting the crashing of public properties inccluding political billboards and blocking motorists from free movement is a violent step that cannot be cordoned by the government.
He explained that as government they have acknowledged the saddest conditions people of these villages are undergoing but explained that two wrongs cannot make a right.
“We have been engaging all critical stakeholders to ensure that peace has been restored in the council area, last week we have been holding meeting and outreach with all the concern stakeholders and even requested for additional CPG operatives to compliment the efforts of the conventional security agencies.
He warned people of Kaura Namoda to remain peaceful and law-abiding as anyone who wants to take advantage of the tense security situation to promote breakdown of law and order will be dealt with decisively.
