A request to organize a second round of debates has been extended by Fox News Channel to the campaign headquarters of Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. This would be Trump’s third debate overall, as he previously participated in one with Joe Biden prior to Harris’s entry into the presidential contest.
The dates of the debate have been proposed as October 24 and 27.
Although Trump has previously said he wouldn’t engage in another verbal battle with Harris, the conservative network is hoping to persuade him to change his mind.
But Harris is probably prepared for another debate, having demanded a rematch with Trump following the ABC News-hosted one. It remains to be seen if Trump will agree to participate in another debate with Harris, as his previous reluctance may still stand. However, the pressure from Fox News Channel and Harris’s eagerness for a rematch may ultimately lead to a showdown between the two candidates on October 24 or 27.
