The new Governor of Kano State Abba Kabir Yusuf has formally assumed office today after receiving his oath of office on Monday the 209th of May 2023.
He was accompanied by hundreds of NNPP loyalists, where special prayer sessions were held for the success of the new government.
Abba Kabir Yusuf won the Governorship race of Kano after defeating his major, the former Deputy Governor of Kano State, Nasiru Gawuna.
He contested the same position with the former Governor of Kano Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in 2019 under the platform of the PDP but lost the election.
His principal former Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso formed the NNPP as a new political party and re-issued the Governorship ticket to Mr. Abba Kabir yusuf a nomination that finally succeeded.
