The former Director General of National Youth Service Corp Bridg. Gen. Maharazu Ismail Tsiga who was abducted by some suspected bandits at his country home of Tsiga in Bakori local government area of Katsina has been released by his abductors.
The eldest son of the retired army General Kamal Maharazu Ismail Tsiga confirmed the development to BBC Hausa service on Thursday.
He said even though their father was released by his abductors on Wednesday they are yet to re-unite with him; hence he is still undergoing clinical examination at an undisclosed health facility.
When asked whether money had been paid to facilitate the release of their father, he confirmed in the affirmative?
He said the family had undergone serious confusion since when their bread winner was abducted.
It could be recalled that almost close to two months the late NYSC DG was abducted in his village of Tsiga in Bakiri local government area of Katsina a development that triggered public mixed reactions as to the rising spate of Insecurity emanating from armed bandit activities.
