Suspected armed bandits numbering over five hundred have invaded Dansadau town on Friday and killed four persons including a police constable.
According to a source, the operation was led by one Ali Kachalla at around 1:00am of Friday and they allegedly went on sporadic shooting, a situation that scared many of the residents who scampered for their safety.
He said they strategically rounded the entire Dansadau town and fired at any one spotted and also buggled many shops and public places.
The operation left behind seven people injured while 15 other persons including a cripple were kidnapped.
According to the source the bandits took the abducted persons to Madada forest, a border village with Birnin Gwari of Kaduna state and in a town called Gobirawar Kwacha.
During the operation, the bandits allegedly shot at the amoured carrier tank of the Nigerian military but the soldiers in the vehicle escaped being wounded or killed.
The Dansadau attack came barely less than a week after another group of bandits allegedly shot down an airforce jet using RPG machine gun with the pilot narrowly escaping.
Effort to speak to the Police Spokes persons failed as his telephone line was not connecting.
